Inflation, labor shortages, supply chain issues and more keep people busy and these issues are becoming more pressing for businesses.
All of these factors lead to challenges for companies like B. An outdated customer profile, a limited talent pool, a lack of inventory, or a scramble for attention in the midst of a crisis.
Breaking through the inevitable noise of the world can sometimes seem difficult, if not impossible, but it can be achieved with the right marketing approach. Now more than ever, it's critical for companies to make sure their digital marketing plan is sound. As a co-founder of a digital marketing agency, I have seen how this can contribute to brand stability, growth and longevity regardless of what is happening in the world.
Below are three marketing strategies that any business, regardless of industry, size, age or income level, can use to get instant results.
Optimize your site.
Optimizing your online presence starts with your website. Many companies make the mistake of creating a beautiful website and then abandoning it, assuming that people will find it and stick with it for years. Websites need to be regularly updated and optimized for SEO in order for your brand to be found online. Focus on these three things first.
• Development of rich content.
• Use keywords and links.
• Reduced page load time.
The easiest way to think about optimization is to report it to Google. When people search for something, Google searches the web to give the user the best results. In order for Google to prioritize your page and offer it to users, you need to make it easy for Google to recognize your site as a valuable resource. You can achieve this by creating each section of your website. For example, the About Us, Careers, and News sections are good places to start. You can also create a blog where you share or interpret the information that your customers are looking for.
Wherever you create content, make sure you use compelling keywords and links that will enhance your content. Your keyword list should be filled with words that a customer can search for.
This will reduce your page load time. Long loading times can frustrate visitors, which Google factors into its rankings. Remember that your website is an extension of your brand and is often the first interaction a new customer has with your business. Let the first impression count. Update, expand and optimize. Then we'll talk about how we can learn from it.
Learn more about analytics.
Diving into website analytics is like asking a customer, "How did you hear about us?" Any website can enable and use an analytics solution to monitor customer behavior.
Which pages are most visited and why? Which link do they click? Did they find you through social media or a search engine? How much time do they spend on your site? Your measurements contain the answers to many of these questions. Plus, you can see if what you've optimized is working on your site and make changes if necessary.
Google Analytics is an example of a free solution that you can explore, although it also has paid options. (Full disclosure: My company is a major partner of Google Analytics.) If you are new to Google Analytics or have your analytics enabled but never tested, I recommend starting with Google Analytics 4 or upgrading to Google Analytics 4. C because Google announced this earlier. Universal Analytics will be discontinued this year on July 1, 2023.
Create an authentic social media presence.
Now that you have an optimized website tailored to your ideal customer and the tools to change it, you need to create a social media presence to share it. Whether you want to use paid advertising, engage with your followers for free, or a combination of both, the possibilities of social marketing are endless.
However, it is important to learn your voice and tone. If your business were a person, what would it look like? what would he say Does he have a sense of humor or is he more tactical and serious? It's important to define who you are as a company. This discovery process is more difficult than it sounds, but once you find your voice, you'll have an exciting opportunity to grow and lead your community.
Because of factors you can control, there will always be fierce competition for customer service. Implementing a strategy that allows your brand to radiate authenticity and integrity will bring you closer to your customers and ensure your business grows for years to come.
