Oswald Cos. Names Chief Marketing Officer Amid Push For Growth

Oswald Kos. a chief marketing officer and chief communications officer have been appointed, highlighting the company's growth efforts, including an aggressive M&A strategy.

This all followed Oswald's December 2020 merger with Baltimore-based insurance broker RCM&D to create Cleveland-based Unison Risk Advisors.

Last spring, Unison received a minority stake in Canadian private equity firm Peloton Capital Management.

"Oswald has already achieved tremendous growth thanks to Peloton's investment and our partnership with RCM&D, and we are not slowing down," Oswald Chairman Robert Clonk said in a statement. "As Oswald and Unison Risk Advisors explore new opportunities for expansion, it is important to refine our marketing strategy to increase visibility across all of our markets."

He hired Christina Capadona-Schmitz as director of marketing and Shannon Mortland as director of corporate communications.

Before joining Oswald this summer, Mortland was vice president of regional media relations at PNC Bank. Mortland is a former reporter for Crain's Cleveland Business who served on the board of the Cleveland Press Club.
