Marketing Plan For SVP Among Projects For MICA Students To Aid Ahmedabad Civic Body
To make a "meaningful impact on the lives of citizens", graduate students from MICA, Ahmedabad's premier institute for strategic marketing and communications, will be assisting the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in their digital strategy and marketing.
The Institute has partnered with AMC on five projects as part of its MI IMPACT (MICA Impact Management Projects to Transform the Whole City) immersion course.
As part of the project, five teams of four students will conduct a study on the perception of AMC's social media presence, the senior vice president will develop a marketing plan for the hospital, assess the impact of the Smart City project, website and mobile applications. Travel to the top 20 cities in the world and create an SOP for a community-based volunteer program in Ahmedabad city.
Launched in 2019, MI IMPACT aims to provide experiential learning to learners facing real-life challenges and help organizations develop an adoption, branding and digital marketing strategy to impact social change.
Prof. Rasanand Panda and K.V. Ramani, co-chairs of the MI IMPACT immersion course at MICA, said: “Working with senior officers and mentors will give our students a rich experience that will allow them to gain a deeper understanding of civil issues.
Students who have already begun field visits since the official handover in July this year will work on projects and present their findings to a panel of industry experts and MICA in March.
“Our senior vice president needs to create a marketing plan for the hospital, and it all starts with understanding the current situation. Now we are conducting preliminary studies and field trips,” said student Mihir Shah.
AMC Deputy City Commissioner Ramya Kumar Bhat said of the partnership, “The scope of AMC is huge. Through this partnership, MICA students will work closely with various OMA departments to conduct research and help us make a meaningful impact on the lives of citizens.
AMC authorities added that the project does not have a financial aspect.
“We need to develop a comprehensive policy for participating in the volunteer program - to recruit volunteers and define their roles. This is a new experience,” said Herat Kumar Talati, a student.
Another freshman, Dhruwang Wag, who is working on a project that includes understanding public perceptions of CMA, said: “This experience is useful as it is the first time we are working with an organization that deals with trade issues. to civil rights. . Although we are users of civilian equipment, it is profitable to cross over to the other side.
