Sue Kroll Named Amazon Studios Head Of Marketing
As we told you last week, Sue Kroll, who was the head of global marketing at Warner Bros., has been named the new chief marketing officer of Amazon Studios. The company confirmed the news on Monday.
In his new role, Kroll will report directly to Amazon Studios head Jennifer Sall and oversee the distribution's global marketing strategy and commercials for broadcast movies and television series. It also includes all future theatrical releases.
This comes after Kroll has spent the last six months as a marketing consultant on "The Lord of the Rings: The Lord of the Rings" sequel. In the movie "Ring of Power" . Launched in 240 countries on September 1 by showrunners Jay Day Penn and Patrick McKay, it attracted 25 million viewers on its first day, the largest ever for Prime Video.
Here's an added bonus. After completing his big marketing stint at Warner Bros., all of Kroll's projects as a producer now come to Amazon Studios as part of his original deal.
