Direct To Consumer Audio And Ebooks Launched By Princeton University Press

In partnership with Glassboxx, Princeton University Press (PUP) has published audiobooks and e-books for consumers. Readers will be able to access and purchase eBooks and audiobooks through the PUP website, a new reader-centric app for reading, viewing and listening. Glassboxx's goal is to make it easy for publishers, authors, and retailers to get their audiobooks and e-books to readers.
Cathy Hope, PUP's director of marketing and sales, said in a recent interview with The Bookseller : “As we strive to serve our readers by adding eBooks and audiobooks to our existing print offerings, we felt Glassboxx was the right partner to help us. . we achieve these goals. We want to provide the best service and shopping experience and Glassboxx will help us achieve that.
The release of direct-to-consumer audiobooks and e-books from PUPs is accompanied by ongoing efforts to convert and publish a broader press catalog. Some of these efforts to identify new and old names include: The Waters Still Run by Angie Debon is a novel that exposes the American immigrant appropriation scandal, originally published in hardcover in 1973. It has recently been reprinted in paperback with a new foreword by Amanda Cobb-Gritham and a newly released audio edition with a story by author Kyle Harper. In addition, Racism. a brief history (2015) by Frederick M. Cooper, which covers a brief history of racism from the late Middle Ages to the present day, has been released in audio format with narration by John Chancer.
Umid also shared that this development is "The latest active expansion initiative in PUP platforms, with growth that prioritizes community, user experience and accessibility for several years." To be more inclusive and provide readers with more choice, Hope continued: "We are committed to prioritizing our mission of inclusivity in everything we do, allowing readers to read in the format they want."
