The Revised Definition Of Marketing, The 4Ps & More

Marketing research is a function that connects consumers, customers, and the public with marketers through information; information used to identify and define opportunities and problems; create, improve and evaluate actions; performance monitoring; and understanding as process augmentation. Determines information needed to solve problems, develops data collection methods, manages and implements data collection processes, analyzes results, and reports findings and conclusions.

Brand definition
A trademark is a name, word, design, symbol, or other characteristic that distinguishes one seller's goods or services from those of other sellers.
The ISO brand standard adds that a brand is an "intangible asset" that "seeks to create a distinctive image and association in the minds of stakeholders, thereby creating benefits/economic value."

Marketing type

Influencer Marketing:

It focuses on influencing potential buyers and the influencers around those individuals to push the brand message to the wider market.

Through this, brands incentivize or compensate influencers (celebrities, content creators, customer advocates, and employees) to spread the word on their behalf.

Relationship Marketing
According to the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), relationship marketing refers to consumer segmentation strategies and strategies to increase loyalty.
Relationship marketing uses database marketing, behavioral advertising, and analytics to precisely target consumers and create loyalty programs.

Viral marketing
An event that helps and encourages people to send promotional messages
It is called "viral" because the number of people exposed to the message mimics the process by which a virus or disease is transmitted from one person to another [1].

Green Marketing
It refers to the development and promotion of environmentally friendly products (ie designed to reduce negative impacts on the physical environment or improve quality).

The term can also be used to describe efforts to produce, promote, package, and recover products in a sustainable or environmentally conscious manner.

Keyword Marketing
This includes putting messages in front of users based on specific keywords and phrases they use to search. The main benefit of this approach is that it enables marketers to reach the right people with the right messages at the right time. For many marketers, this method serves ads when certain keywords are entered.

Note that in SEO, this term refers to achieving the best position in search results.

Guerrilla marketing
It describes unconventional and creative strategies for getting the most out of minimal resources.

External marketing
In this case, the marketer initiates communication with customers through methods such as television, radio, and digital display advertising. It is often used to influence consumer awareness and brand preference.

Inbound marketing
Onboarding responds to the various methods used to capture a customer's attention when they first interact with a marketer. These methods include email, events, content and web design. One of the stated goals is to make the business a valuable source of information and problem solving, thereby increasing customer trust and loyalty.

Search optimization
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of developing a marketing/technical plan to increase visibility on one or more search engines. In general, it consists of two components. Technically, SEO is concerned with ensuring that a website is properly indexed by major search engines and includes the correct keywords, content, codes and links.

In marketing terms, SEO refers to the process of targeting specific keywords that a website needs to "win" in a search. This can be done by modifying the website so that it ranks well in the search algorithms used for ranking, or by purchasing placement on individual keywords. Often, SEO programs are a mix of different elements and techniques. [2]

Note: When used to describe an SEO person, it means a search engine optimizer.

Content marketing
Strategies for creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and engage specific audiences with the goal of driving profitable customer action.

According to the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), this includes different methods of telling a brand story. More marketers are extending advertising into content marketing/storytelling to create a more emotional connection and attachment with consumers.

4 Sg

Product: A product is defined as a set of characteristics (features, functions, benefits and uses) that can be exchanged or used, usually in a combination of tangible and intangible forms.
Thus, a product can be an idea, a physical person (product), or a service, or a combination of all three. It exists to meet individual and organizational goals.

Although the terms "goods and services" are sometimes used, product is a term that includes both goods and services.

Price: Price is a formal ratio that expresses the amount of money, goods, or services required to purchase a certain amount of goods or services.
This amount must be paid by the customer to receive the product.

Place (or distribution). Distribution refers to the act of delivering the product to the consumer. It is also used to describe the market availability of a particular product.
Distribution among the 4 Ps is expressed by place or position.

Promotion includes strategies that drive short-term purchases, influence the number of trials and purchases, and are highly scalable in terms of volume, engagement, and profitability.
