"After a successful campaign in the North American market, the next target for 2023 will be Europe, especially the Nordic countries, where TATO management plans to launch a destination marketing campaign planned for the Matka Nordic Travel Fair in response to member prescriptions. The beginning of 2023," said Mr. Akko said.

This event is not only an ideal platform to meet and network with other travel and tourism professionals, but also a place where participants can present their new products and services to a niche audience.

"We are focused on finding markets that have responded quickly to our campaigns and shown resistance to the difficult times the world is going through," said Akko, CEO of TATO.

TATO is relying on a new international market strategy to increase tourism numbers and revenues next year.

In addition to the Nordic countries, TATO's strategy targets emerging markets in Eastern Europe, Turkey, Brazil, China and the Persian Gulf countries in a list of aggressive marketing and promotional activities for 2023.

According to the new international marketing plan, the number of tourists to Tanzania is expected to increase from more than 700,000 visitors in 2022 to 1.2 million in 2023.

Mr. Akko said TATO is highly indebted to UNDP for supporting the efforts of tour operators to diversify their marketing strategies to attract more visitors and increase the number of tourists following the COVID-19 pandemic.
