Video streaming services have grown in popularity since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. According to a video marketing survey conducted by Statista, as of November 2022, 86 percent of marketers have used video on Facebook for marketing purposes. YouTube was the most popular social platform among 90% of marketers, while 35% of respondents used TikTok.
Over the past two decades, I've seen dramatic changes in video marketing. Five or seven years ago, video advertising was mainly done by big brands and companies. However, with the advent of social media and video sharing platforms, even small businesses and individuals can create and share high quality videos.
But this has changed over time as the speed of the internet has increased and more content is now available. We create videos and ads for a wide range of clients, from political to corporate clients, from fitness brands to small non-profits.
A video ad is any ad that appears in a video player. These can be text or image ads that appear at the beginning, middle, and end of the video, as well as within the video itself. According to a study by Statista, the digital video advertising market is growing rapidly and is expected to reach $80.1 billion by 2021 and $120 billion by 2024, creating a huge opportunity for companies to reach consumers through video advertising.
Social networks have grown rapidly in recent years and with them the need for permanent video advertising. Also, a recent survey by my company showed that 75% of respondents prefer to watch videos horizontally. This is because people like to scroll through their feed while holding their phone vertically, making it easier to consume content.

As video marketing becomes more popular and important, it is important to understand the importance of using this marketing method. Here are some effective ideas to take your brand or product to the next level with video marketing and campaigns
• Product demo videos. If you're focused on a product and want to attract new users or customers, creating a product demo video can be a good place to start. Or you can record conversations with existing customers to see how they feel after using your product. Combine these results into a video and share it on social media to reach potential customers
• 10-30 second product feature video – Try creating a 10-30 second demo video for a new product you are planning to launch to showcase all the key features to your social media followers and visitors. Highlighting all its features and benefits with a short tutorial video will help your product gain more attention.
• Buyer reviews. Social proof can be a powerful tool for attracting new customers. You can add a personal touch by inviting a satisfied customer and asking for a short review. This short experience of creating customer testimonial videos and sharing them with other viewers will make an impression and help you win new business.
