AirTree Backs Generative AI Content Creation And Management Platform Narrato

Innovative AI is popular among venture capitalists, with $4.5 billion invested by 2022. Narato, an AI content creation and collaboration platform, today announced a partnership with innovative AI startups. Based in San Francisco, Narato has raised $1 million in seed funding led by Airtree Ventures, an Australian company that is an early investor in Kava, Linktree and Recruitment Hero.

Other participants in the round include Off Business, a B2B e-commerce platform, and serial entrepreneur Srisha Ramdas. Narrato SaaS is used by clients including payments startup ChargeBee, language learning app Preply and customer onboarding software Rocketlane. It will work with Airtree to expand to the US.

It was founded in January 2022 by Sophia Solanki, an Australian serial entrepreneur who previously owned SaaS content marketing and social media management platform DrumUp.

Solanki told TechCrunch that Narato's team's original idea was to create a "content GitHub" for marketing teams with a workspace that would offer automation, collaboration and publishing, among other things. But creative AI has followed in recent years and "in its current state of maturity, it is a very powerful tool for creating content." The Narato team plans to apply creative AI to various stages of the content creation process.

Narrator's main function is an artificial intelligence content assistant that helps you plan, including automatically generating summaries, creating and editing content. It also includes collaboration and workflow tools as well as automated publishing capabilities. Solanki explained that users can choose templates to create AI-assisted and non-AI-assisted content, including blogs, articles, web copy, emails, video scripts, social media content, and artwork. Narato has a chat-style format for AI-powered content creation and plans to expand its selection of AI-powered content templates to hundreds.

When summaries are created with AI Builder, authors can use them for SEO planning and guidance. They include research and benchmarks to help content creators reach a wider audience.

Solanki named several startups as direct and indirect competitors of Narato. Idea, ClickUp and Airtable are used by content creators to manage content projects, while Jasper and Copy.ai are content creation platforms that use AI. In a financial announcement, Alicia MacDonald, partner at AirTree, said, “Having identified huge opportunities to build AI into content marketing and having already successfully built two companies in the space, Sophia knows the market inside out.
