Arun C. Kumar Partners With Forbes Books To Write Book On Marketing's Existential Dilemmas

Kumar is currently in transition and looking forward to the next phase of his exciting journey by partnering with Forbes Books to write a book. examining the ethical issues facing the marketing industry and their contribution primarily to the economy.
Kumar's book will serve as a reference guide to help CEOs, CMOs, investors, and policymakers navigate the winding corridors of marketing metrics, privacy concerns, complex platform architectures, and the ultimate customer experience failure that threatens to not only negatively impact marketing. This book will extol the benefits of marketing and the challenges faced by external forces, but will also recognize the problems within the profession and defend a set of accepted principles to guide decisions ethically.

Writing a book has been a longtime dream of Kumar's, but he recently decided that his book should focus on problematic trends he sees in marketing, such as compromised databases and forced divisions created for certain interests. and efforts by government agencies to enact privacy laws aimed at, among other things, reducing targeted advertising.
"Regulators and lawmakers are ready to take the scalpel to digital marketing and advertising in particular, but they still don't understand how businesses, the economy and jobs depend on it," Kumar said.
In his book, Kumar finally outlines a set of principles that can begin to reverse some of the damage and increase marketing's contribution to society.
