E3 Lithium Outlines Key Performance Indicators And Provides Field Pilot Plant And Corporate Update

CALGARY, Alberta — June 14, 2023 — E3 LITHIUM LTD. (TSXV: ETL) (FSE: OW3) (OTCQX: EEMMF), “E3 Lithium” or the “Company,” a leading lithium developer and mining technology innovator in Alberta, today released its key performance indicator (KPI) for direct lithium mining. at the factory (DLE) experimental field, which should be put into operation in the third quarter of 2023.
The E3 lithium test site will be located east of Olds, Alberta, the first well to be completed in the 2022 production plan. The program includes sampling of three wells, confirmed reservoir characteristics and an average lithium concentration of 75 mg/L. in the reservoir.
The test field is designed to test and verify the DLE technology under real operating conditions for the design and cost evaluation of the first commercial E3 lithium facility. Below is a set of test field setup parameters or KPIs.
Test KPIs: E3 Lithium will measure the success of field trial installations against the KPIs below.

Lithium mining. The basis for inclusion of ≥ 80% lithium recovery is E3 lithium, which maximizes the value per unit of brine delivered to surface.
Lithium concentrate quality. Quality products or concentrates with low lithium impurity ≥ 600 mg/L (≥25% lithium in the product stream) have a high ratio of lithium to impurity, allowing for simplified and routine purification. quality of lithium hydroxide battery.
Flow rate. Flow rate measures the rate at which lithium can be extracted from brine at a fixed productivity. The higher this ratio, the lower the DLE requirements of the commercial enterprise, which is an indirect indicator of the capital costs of these systems.
DLE technology
Along with testing the DLE technology to demonstrate commercial viability, E3 Lithium will also test other technologies at its pilot plants this summer and fall. Based on test results, commercial readiness and economics, the Company will decide which technology to use for its first commercial deployment. Choosing the right technology path for the first plant will allow E3 Lithium to enter commercial operation as soon as possible and reduce the technology risks of the project, while controlling the cost and quality of the process and the final product.
Each of the above KPIs will be compared head to head. For example, higher recovery can compensate for lower lithium content in product streams. E3 Lithium believes that the achievement of these key performance indicators will facilitate the development of initial feasibility studies and ensure a viable commercial operation. The company is currently developing the entire process for a preliminary feasibility study, and the full economics of the project will be outlined, taking into account the DLE results, as well as other factors in the battery lithium hydroxide production process.
"Achieving the key performance indicators we have established for our field pilot program will give our investors and stakeholders confidence in our ability to commercialize our vast global resource," said E3 Lithium President and CEO Chris Doornbos. "We look forward to demonstrating the productivity and economics of our project and putting it firmly on the development path to commercialization."
Progress updates
E3 Lithium will begin receiving test equipment in early June ahead of mechanical construction, which is scheduled for late June/early July. After mechanical and electrical construction is completed, the company will begin operations in July.
